The medical reality

## Why we do not offer “conveyor-belt MRIs”.
An MRI sees a great deal, but not everything. Many of our patients come to us wanting a quick whole-body scan, hoping for absolute certainty. The medical reality, however, is more complex.

A standalone MRI can show anatomical structures, but it cannot assess organ function or cellular processes. Without the combination of specific blood values and a thorough medical history, an MRI on its own often leads to false reassurance – or to unnecessary alarm over incidental findings.

For people without symptoms, the benefit of a whole-body MRI is not proven. It sits on our evidence level 3, and we say so. What it can do is contribute to the overall picture alongside laboratory work and medical history.

False reassurance

An MRI without laboratory context can miss functional conditions entirely.

Incidental findings

Without medical interpretation, harmless findings cause unnecessary alarm.

The YEARS approach

Imaging + laboratory values + medical interpretation = the complete picture.

That is why YEARS offers the MRI only together with laboratory work and medical interpretation.

How it works

## Three steps to the complete picture

Step 01

### The medical history
We go through your health history and define the exact parameters we look for in the laboratory and on the MRI.

Step 02

### Precision diagnostics
A stress-free scan in our state-of-the-art MRI, combined with a comprehensive blood and functional analysis.

Step 03

### The results consultation
About two weeks after your appointment you go through all findings with your physician, by video as standard: clear answers and a plan.

Frequently asked questions

## What you should know

Why do you not offer a standalone whole-body MRI? + Because your health does not tolerate compromise. An MRI without medical context — laboratory values and a physical examination — misses important functional conditions and does not produce a complete diagnosis. We want to give you the complete picture, not a deceptive sense of safety.

Is your approach more expensive than a standard MRI? + Alongside the MRI scan, our holistic check-up includes extensive laboratory analysis and, above all, the undivided time of our specialists for your diagnosis. It is an investment in complete clarity rather than in a single image. We work with self-payers and privately insured patients who value the highest medical standard.

How quickly can I get an appointment? + The current lead time is four to six weeks (as of November 2026). For privately insured patients and self-payers we stay flexible and find a slot that fits your schedule.

How long does the whole check-up take? + Plan for a full day; Evolve takes around nine hours. The medical history, the MRI and the laboratory tests all take place on the same day. The physician consultation on your results follows about two weeks later, by video as standard.

Safety Information

## Important: Please contact us before your appointment if any of the following applies
An MRI scan is safe for most people. In certain situations we need to clarify the procedure in advance:

- Cardiac pacemaker, defibrillator or other implanted electronic device
- Metallic implants (e.g. older cochlear implants, certain vascular clips, shrapnel)
- Reduced kidney function — relevant for gadolinium contrast agent
- Pregnancy, especially during the first trimester
- Severe claustrophobia

We clarify all safety questions in a personal pre-screening — if anything is unclear, contact us in advance at info@years.co .
