Men's health without taboos.Data-based and comprehensive.

Cardiovascular risk markers, prostate diagnostics, testosterone profile, VO2max and liver health. Men's prevention that thinks further ahead — all in a single day in Berlin.

  • Cardiovascular
  • Prostate
  • Testosterone
  • VO2max

Men live around 5 years less on average. Much of that is avoidable.

Three risk areas are often identified too late in men — even though early indicators are measurable long before symptoms appear.

Cardiovascular, earlier

Statistically, men experience cardiovascular events around 10 years earlier than women. ApoB, Lp(a) and imaging from 35-40 are essential — German statutory screening only starts at 35 with basic values.

Prostate screening

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. A PSA blood test supplemented by MRI imaging where findings are abnormal — more sensitive and precise than a digital examination.

Testosterone & hormones

Testosterone declines by around 1% per year from age 30. Loss of energy, poor sleep, reduced libido and muscle loss are often not "age" — but a measurable hormone deficit.

What we examine especially thoroughly in men.

More than 25 functional tests, up to 230+ biomarkers and targeted imaging — focused on male risk profiles.

Cardiovascular markers

ApoB, Lp(a), HDL, hs-CRP, exercise ECG, echocardiography, vascular ultrasound with Doppler. Detects subclinical cardiovascular disease before the first symptom.

Prostate diagnostics

PSA blood test, free PSA, PSA velocity. Where findings are abnormal: MRI-based imaging (integrated into the whole-body MRI) rather than a purely digital rectal examination.

Testosterone & hormones

Free and total testosterone, SHBG, oestradiol, DHEA-S, LH/FSH, diurnal cortisol profile. A complete picture of the hormonal axis.

VO2max & performance

Spiroergometry measures your cardiorespiratory fitness precisely — the single strongest predictor of life expectancy. Plus bone density, grip strength and 3D body scan.

Liver health & metabolism

AST/ALT, gamma-GT, alkaline phosphatase, bilirubin, albumin. Plus liver sonography for early detection of fatty liver — statistically under-diagnosed in men.

Mental health & sleep

Validated questionnaires (PHQ-9, GAD-7) plus diurnal cortisol profile and sleep quality assessment. As a matter of routine — even if you do not raise the subject yourself.

Frequently asked questions about the check-up for men

Which examinations matter specifically for men?+

Cardiovascular risk markers (ApoB, Lp(a)) — statistically, men have cardiovascular events around 10 years earlier than women. Prostate diagnostics (PSA plus MRI where findings are abnormal), testosterone profile (free and total), liver markers (men statistically drink more), and VO2max for cardiorespiratory fitness.

From what age does prostate screening make sense?+

The standard recommendation is from 45. With a family history (father or brother with prostate cancer), from 40. A PSA blood test is standard; where findings are abnormal we add MRI-based diagnostics — more sensitive and accurate than a physical examination alone.

Does a testosterone test really make sense?+

Yes, if symptoms such as loss of energy, reduced libido, muscle loss, poor sleep or mood swings are present. We measure free and total testosterone, SHBG, DHEA-S, oestradiol and LH/FSH — and interpret the values in the context of your lifestyle and age. Hormone replacement is not right for everyone — we decide based on data, not on symptoms alone.

What about liver health? Is a standard blood test enough?+

AST/ALT alone only show late damage. We additionally measure gamma-GT, alkaline phosphatase, bilirubin and albumin, plus a sonographic assessment (fatty liver screening). Men have a higher risk of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) — often asymptomatic.

Which programme is best for active, performance-oriented men?+

Evolve (€7,600) is usually the right choice: it includes spiroergometry for VO2max, a complete hormone profile, whole-body MRI and liquid biopsy. Ultimate (€16,900) adds pharmacogenomics — relevant if you are considering performance optimisation or hormone replacement.

How does YEARS integrate mental health for men?+

Statistically, men seek help less often for burnout, depression or sleep disorders. We screen as a matter of routine using validated questionnaires (PHQ-9, GAD-7) and measure the diurnal cortisol profile and sleep quality — regardless of whether you raise the subject yourself.

Performance, clarity and longevity — based on data.
