What does a longevity check-up cost?

Depending on diagnostic depth, prices in Germany range from roughly €1,500 to €20,000. Entry-level programmes without imaging start at €1,500 to €2,500. Programmes that include a whole-body MRI typically fall between €5,000 and €8,000. Comprehensive packages covering genetics, epigenetics, liquid biopsy and microbiome analysis range from €12,000 to €20,000. At YEARS the prices are €1,900 (Core), €7,600 (Evolve) and €16,900 (Ultimate).

Four cost blocks determine the price. 1) Laboratory diagnostics — the more biomarkers, the higher the cost, and specialist assays for hormones, genetics and epigenetics are considerably more expensive than standard parameters. 2) Imaging — a whole-body MRI protocol including radiological reporting accounts for €1,500 to €2,500. 3) Physician time — a detailed history, findings review and prevention plan require several hours of medical work. 4) Specialist diagnostics such as multi-cancer liquid biopsy, genome sequencing or microbiome analysis cost between €500 and €4,000 per procedure.

There is no reimbursement under German statutory health insurance — the check-up is not a covered benefit and is paid privately as a self-pay service. For privately insured patients, billing follows the German medical fee schedule (Gebührenordnung für Ärzte, GOÄ). Many private policies reimburse a relevant share of the cost, depending on the individual contract. Reimbursement is not guaranteed. That depends on your individual risk profile and on timing. Many age-related conditions are considerably cheaper and more effective to treat at an early stage than after symptoms begin. For many patients, a single check-up between 35 and 55 followed by intervention has a measurable effect on modifiable risk factors such as ApoB, insulin resistance, VO2max and bone density. Firm claims about a financial “return on investment” in the narrow sense cannot be substantiated, as long-term studies are lacking.

Patients new to this and those with an unremarkable history sensibly start with Core (€1,900). If you want imaging and early cancer detection, Evolve (€7,600) adds whole-body MRI and liquid biopsy. Ultimate (€16,900) is aimed at patients who want maximum diagnostic depth plus longitudinal support with three check-ins per year, including genome sequencing, epigenetic clocks and microbiome analysis. Upgrading later remains possible if you wish.

The statutory Check-up 35 covers basic parameters in roughly 20 to 30 minutes and is financed through fixed budgets. A longevity check-up covers 87 to 230+ biomarkers, MRI imaging, several hours of physician time, spiroergometry, cognitive testing and optional specialist diagnostics. The scale of the cost difference reflects 10 to 100 times more measurement points and substantially longer medical care.

No. The stated price at YEARS is a fixed price and covers every examination included in the respective programme as well as the findings consultation. Breakfast and lunch on the diagnostic day are included. Additional costs only arise if you choose to add individual services that are not part of the package — for example extended genetic analysis with Core or Evolve. Follow-up appointments and monitoring are itemised separately and transparently.

YEARS does not currently offer its own instalment plan. Invoicing and payment are direct. Some patients use independent financing options through their bank, or use flexible gift vouchers as a present.
