How long does a health check take?

At YEARS the examination day takes 6 to 9 hours depending on the program. Core runs to about 6 hours and includes 25 functional examinations and 87 laboratory biomarkers. Evolve and Ultimate each take around 9 hours, because both add whole-body MRI, which alone accounts for roughly 60 minutes. All imaging and functional procedures happen on a single day, as does the first medical results consultation in the afternoon. Not finished the same day are genetics, liquid biopsy and specialist laboratory work: a strategy consultation follows for those, usually two to three weeks later.

Around 60 minutes. The scan runs at 3 Tesla without contrast agent, from head to pelvis. The time inside the scanner is the largest single block of the day, plus changing, the safety questionnaire and positioning. Anyone who struggles in confined spaces should say so beforehand, because the sequence and positioning can be adjusted. The MRI is included in Evolve and Ultimate, not in Core. So if you are weighing the programs purely on time: the difference between a six-hour and a nine-hour day comes mostly down to imaging.

For the core, no. Imaging, functional diagnostics, blood draw and the first medical results consultation all sit on one day. A second appointment is needed only for the findings that take longer: genetics, liquid biopsy and specialist laboratory results are usually complete after two to three weeks. That strategy consultation takes place in person or by video. So two appointments rather than one is the realistic plan. If anyone presents it as a single appointment, ask when the laboratory findings get discussed.

As a rule, yes. Apart from the blood draw none of the examinations is invasive, no contrast agent is given and no sedation is needed. That means no driving restriction and no observation period. Realistically the day is still long, and most people underestimate the mental rather than the physical load. Between history taking, imaging and an hour-long results consultation, a great deal of information accumulates. I would keep the evening free, but not the following day.

Because not all values run at the same speed. A standard blood count is available within hours, which is why part of it can be discussed the same afternoon. Genetic analyses, liquid biopsy and certain specialist laboratory values, by contrast, go through multi-stage procedures in external specialist laboratories, some with their own quality control and reporting. That time cannot sensibly be shortened without degrading how much the result can tell you. A provider promising complete genetic findings the same day is describing either a smaller scope or a different procedure.
