Overview
YEARS cares for guests from all over Germany. The diagnostic day brings more than 25 functional examinations, up to 230 laboratory values, the medical interpretation and your written prevention plan together in a single day, instead of spreading them across several specialist appointments over half a year. From Hamburg, Hanover and Leipzig you arrive in under two hours by ICE; from Munich, Frankfurt, Cologne, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart in around four hours by train or about an hour of flight time. The clinic is at Joachimsthaler Straße 34 in Berlin-Charlottenburg, around 15 minutes from Hauptbahnhof and a five-minute walk from Bahnhof Zoo, with four recommended hotels within a one to five minute walk. With Evolve and Ultimate, the recurring check-ins are done by at-home blood test where you live, so you travel to Berlin only for the diagnostic day.
Key facts

Why one day is enough
The journey pays off because the comparison is not Berlin versus your city, but one day versus many months.
Laboratory work, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, lung function, ultrasound, skin cancer screening and, with Evolve and Ultimate, the whole-body MRI run back to back on a fixed schedule. No appointment puzzle across months, no waiting rooms between stations.
We align your start time with your train or flight when you book. If you live further away, you arrive the evening before and start the morning calmly, without transfer stress before your blood draw.
You take home a complete report with all values, findings, reference ranges and the reasoning behind each recommendation. Follow-up checks and next steps can be handled by your doctor where you live.
After your day in Berlin, everything continues by video. With Evolve and Ultimate the check-in blood tests come to your home; with Ultimate a dedicated health manager supports you year-round.

For Evolve and Ultimate
Stay under continuous medical guidance without travelling back to Berlin for every check-in.
Your diagnostic day takes place in Berlin. The recurring check-ins that come with Evolve (one check-in) and Ultimate (three across the year) are done from where you live, whether that is Munich, Hamburg, Cologne or Frankfurt.
01A validated at-home collection kit is sent to your address. The capillary blood sample takes a few minutes and needs no clinic visit.
02You return the sample in the prepared envelope. Your biomarkers are analysed at our partner lab.
03Your YEARS physician reviews the results with you by video and adjusts your prevention plan.
Getting here
A central location in Berlin City West, a five-minute walk from Bahnhof Zoo.
YEARS Clinic
Joachimsthaler Straße 34
10719 Berlin-Charlottenburg
Germany
From Berlin Hauptbahnhof (~15 min)
Take the S-Bahn S3, S5 or S7 two stops to Zoologischer Garten, about five minutes, then a five-minute walk to the clinic. If your ICE stops at Berlin-Spandau, the S3 and S5 run from there to Bahnhof Zoo in about 15 minutes. A taxi from Hauptbahnhof costs around 15 to 20 euros depending on traffic.
From BER airport
By car
Reached via the A100 and A115 motorways, then the Kurfürstendamm or Bundesallee. Allow extra time during rush hour. On-street parking on Joachimsthaler Straße is tight, so we recommend the car parks at Bikini Berlin on Budapester Straße or at the Europa-Center, both a few minutes on foot.
A single BVG AB ticket covers travel within the city. For the trip from BER airport you need an ABC ticket (about 5 euros), since BER sits in fare zone C.
Where to stay

FAQ
For most guests, yes, because the real comparison is not Berlin versus your own city but one day versus many months. What comes together in a single day at YEARS — more than 25 functional examinations, 89 to 230 laboratory values, medical interpretation and a written prevention plan — otherwise spreads across several specialist appointments over half a year, each with its own waiting time and no shared analysis. From Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt or Stuttgart you reach Berlin by ICE or a short flight the evening before; from Hamburg, Hanover and Leipzig in under two hours. The diagnostic day happens once, and the ongoing care afterwards runs by video and at-home testing from wherever you live.
Yes. Core takes around six hours, Evolve and Ultimate around nine hours, each on a single day and without queues between stations. The schedule is set in advance: blood draw in the morning, then the functional examinations such as cardiopulmonary exercise testing, lung function, ultrasound and skin cancer screening, plus the whole-body MRI with Evolve and Ultimate. The detailed physician consultation closes the day. We align your start time with your travel when you book, so a morning train or flight still works. Catering during the day is included. Your written report with all values and your prevention plan follows digitally.
It takes around 15 minutes from Hauptbahnhof. Take the S-Bahn S3, S5 or S7 two stops to Zoologischer Garten, roughly five minutes, then walk another five minutes to Joachimsthaler Straße 34. If your ICE stops at Berlin-Spandau, the S3 and S5 run from there to Bahnhof Zoo in about 15 minutes. A taxi from Hauptbahnhof costs around 15 to 20 euros depending on traffic. A single BVG AB ticket covers travel within the city. Bahnhof Zoo is served by the U1 and U9 metro lines, the S-Bahn, regional trains and numerous bus routes.
We recommend it if your journey takes more than two hours. The day starts in the morning with your blood draw, and an early train or flight on the same day makes the start unnecessarily tight. From Hamburg, Hanover or Leipzig, arriving in the morning works well. From Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf or Stuttgart, the evening before is the calmer option. Four recommended hotels sit within a one to five minute walk of the clinic, from the Waldorf Astoria by Bahnhof Zoo to the H10 on the very same street. Whether and for how long you should fast before the blood draw is confirmed in the documents we send you beforehand.
No. Evolve includes one check-in, Ultimate three across the year. The blood draws for these can be done at home with a validated self-collection kit, whether you live in Munich, Hamburg, Cologne or Frankfurt. The kit arrives by post, the capillary blood sample takes a few minutes, and you return it in the prepared envelope to our partner lab. You then review the results by video with your YEARS physician and your prevention plan is adjusted. So you travel to Berlin only for the diagnostic day itself. Core includes no check-ins and therefore no at-home testing.
Yes, that is exactly the intention. You receive a full written report with all laboratory values, imaging findings, medical interpretation and your prevention plan. The document is structured so your doctor at home can work with it directly, including reference ranges and the reasoning behind each recommendation. Follow-up checks, medication questions or referrals can be handled locally on that basis. We do not replace primary care, we provide the foundation for it. If questions arise from treatment where you live, your YEARS physician remains reachable through the ongoing care included with Evolve and Ultimate.
Yes. The clinic sits in Berlin City West, reached via the A100 and A115 motorways and then the Kurfürstendamm or Bundesallee. Allow extra time during rush hour. On-street parking on Joachimsthaler Straße itself is tight, so we recommend the nearby car parks, for example at Bikini Berlin on Budapester Straße or at the Europa-Center. Both are a few minutes on foot. If you are travelling a longer distance, the train is usually the calmer choice, since you will not have to drive yourself home after a nine-hour diagnostic day.
No. YEARS is a private clinic, you book directly online and need no referral. Statutory and privately insured guests are equally welcome; the programs are self-pay services. You receive a detailed invoice that you can submit to a private health insurer or a company health plan. Whether and how much is reimbursed depends on your policy and is not guaranteed. If your employer provides a prevention budget, the check-up can often be settled through it. Our reimbursement page covers the details.
